Music Biography continues... magic brook's story behind "The Source" While traveling
the well worn path of “utility” guitar player, magic brook
began to pursue a personal musical vision: "2 hands, one guitar" "The Source" is the result of 6 years of exploration, wood-shedding, composition, performances, blind-alleys and dead-ends. The music was conceived in Berkeley, fledged in Boulder, took flight in Zihautanejo, and was made whole in British Columbia and Berlin. The wood shed remains in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to the creation of the music, two years of engineering experiments were expended to achieve a deep, rich and vibrant recording that captures the complexity and spirit of the acoustic guitar. The recording has no overdubbed tracks. It was recorded “2 hands, 1 guitar”, direct to digital. Brook is committed to community. He will gladly donate performances for causes that he considers worthy.
